I am a Classical Pilates Instructor certified since 2011 under 2nd generation master teacher Dorothee Vandewalle's 700+ hr program at Metropolitan Pilates in Seattle. I’ve worked at Pilates Center of SF (San Francisco), Pilates 580 (Oakland), Urban Pilates (Portland) and Tumtum Pilates (Washougal, WA)

Currently, I am taking a break from teaching Pilates to focus on my graduate studies. If you are in the Washougal, WA area, I recommend visiting Annice at Tumtum Pilates.

*My personal weekly movement practices consist of Pilates, Kundalini Yoga, and online Gaga dance.

Testimonials

"This studio is so cute and simple. It's a perfect start to the day. I have been training with Briana and she is amazing! I've gotten stronger and have been able to see improvement with every session. I couldn't recommend Tumtum more!" -Molly S.

"Briana at Pilates 580 is awesome! I came to her several months ago, totally out of shape and still suffering from a total sprain of my spinal column from a car accident two years back, and now I am 100 times better.! No more back pain, way fewer headaches and I, with her help, have rediscovered my abs. One on One sessions are my favorite (I love the attention), but I go to her group classes, Wednesday mornings because I'm now addicted to Pilates. She is patient, always urging me and the class to do our best (which has steadily improved) without overdoing it.  She has a great personality, is super professional and I am never, ever bored. The classes are a great way to start, and I'm in total agreement with another yelper, truly reasonable rates. I wholeheartedly recommend Briana Trevithick at Pilates 580 because, I know I'm repeating myself, she is awesome!" -Terry M.

"I started Pilates with Briana a year ago.  Formerly very athletic, I had spent the previous half-decade sedentary and adding almost 30 lbs.  At the time, the idea of ever being fit again, let alone at anything approaching my previous levels seemed impossible.  I hoped that somehow Pilates, and a great teacher might be my way back. Today, thanks to Briana, I have found my way back, and am fit and strong in ways I never knew possible.  Briana has a deep knowledge of Classical Pilates, and a knack for making it easy - explaining what to do, how to do it, and why you’re doing it – in ways that you can understand and feel confident executing.  While serious about Pilates and doing the work, Briana brings a sense of humor and joy that is infectious.  You can’t help but to work as hard as you can, and have fun doing it.  Briana also has a gift for knowing when you’re ready to advance and when you have more in you – even if you don’t know it yet. I wish I’d started Pilates years ago, and not just as a way to get back in shape.   It’s challenging no matter how fit you are and it will help you in every other athletic pursuit you have. You really can’t go wrong with Pilates and having Briana as your teacher, what are you waiting for?"  -Glenn V.

"As a senior with shoulder and arm injuries, Briana has adjusted the sessions to stretch and strengthen the problem areas without wimping the workout. It works for me." -Tim S.

"Started Pilates 20 weeks ago with Briana, now I wish I'd started 20 years ago. Briana is the best, a real pleasure to work with and she doesn't let me get away with any kind of lazy pilates work. My core, especially my back, has never been stronger. It's Pilates 580 with Briana for me!" -Thor
